A few days later, Victor sneaks into Sathya's house and reveals himself as Hemanika's killer. Sathya finds Thenmozhi's location, saves her and Isha, and kills Lisa. When they arrive at the location, they kill Muruganandham. Victor tells Sathya that he will release Isha only if he surrenders Thenmozhi, to which Sathya accepts. In an attempt to get Thenmozhi, Victor and his team kidnap Isha, who is held captive by Lisa. The film goes back to the present where Sathya keeps Thenmozhi in their house with Isha. Sathya is reinstated into Tamil Nadu police and leaves for Boston. Sathya is able to find the child and eventually the organ theft network's next target, Thenmozhi. He discovers that Victor is stealing organs illegally with foreign doctors to earn millions, and is trying to save his new customer, billionaire Muruganandham who needs a heart transplant. After he returns, his friend's child has gone missing. Sathya decides to quit his job and travels with Isha around India for six years along with his colleague DCP Richard's help. He hides the fact from Isha by telling her that Hemanika had left somewhere far away and she wanted Sathya to take care of her. He meets and kills his adversary and is also injured. Fortunately Isha is with him that night that saves her. On the day of their marriage, Hemanika is killed, which leaves Sathya heartbroken. After seeing each other for four years, they decide to get married. Two years later, he meets Hemanika and her child Isha. In an attempt to stop a gangster, he helps Hemanika, a pregnant woman who needs to get to a hospital urgently. He then kills Matthew and injures Victor, to which the latter swears revenge on Sathya. However, Sathya infiltrates the gang, revealing himself as an IPS officer. Sathya and Victor later meet a criminal named Matthew. They escape from jail, and Sathya gets Victor married to Elizabeth alias Lisa. From there, Sathya makes a decision and is seen in a jail with Victor a few years later. The film goes back to the year 1989 in Chennai (then known as Madras) where Sathya's father is killed by a criminal. The next day in Chennai, Sathyadev and Thenmozhi are at a cafe, when a criminal named Victor Manoharan comes to abduct Thenmozhi, but fails due to Sathya subduing him. During the flight, she starts vomiting due to overeating, and with her co-passenger Sathyadev's help, she feels better, and develops a crush on him.

Three weeks later, while leaving for Chennai, in the airport, she gets a free upgrade. Thenmozhi, a carefree girl from Chennai, comes to Boston to meet her new-born niece. Menon has since 2018 expressed plans for a sequel.

The film was nominated for six categories under the 5th South Indian International Movie Awards, in which Arun Vijay won the award for Best Actor in a Negative Role – Tamil. At the 63rd Filmfare Awards South, the film was nominated under five categories including Best Actor for Ajith Kumar, Best Supporting Actor for Arun Vijay, Best Music Director for Harris Jayaraj and Best Lyricist for Thamarai. Released theatrically on 5 February 2015, the film received positive reviews from critics, with praise for Kumar and Vijay's performances.
It is also the final film of Menon's police trilogy of films, after Kaakha Kaakha (2003) and Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (2006). Dan Macarthur handled the cinematography, while Anthony edited the film. The music was composed by Harris Jayaraj, reuniting with Menon after Vaaranam Aayiram (2008). The second schedule of the film took place on May 2014, where the filming took place in Chennai, Hyderabad, Rajasthan, Sikkim, and a few parts in Malaysia. Principal photography of the film was launched on 9 April 2014, where its first schedule took place at Chennai on 11 April 2014, within 12 days. Menon decided to finalise the script in October 2013, with Sridhar Raghavan and Thiagarajan Kumararaja being the consultants. The film co-stars Anikha, Parvathy Nair, Vivek, Ashish Vidyarthi, Suman and Avinash. The film stars Ajith Kumar, Arun Vijay, Trisha and Anushka Shetty, and revolves around a former police officer who tries to protect a young woman from a vengeful criminal linked to his past.
